Yoshi Sugiyama
I obtained national certifications in acupuncture, moxibustion, and massage therapy in Japan in 2002. Over the course of more than 20 years―including six years in San Francisco―I have treated and provided rehabilitation for a diverse range of patients. These include children, the elderly, athletes, performers, and individuals with serious conditions such as strokes and Parkinson's disease, through my experience working in acupuncture clinics and hospitals. Additionally, I have studied yoga, Pilates, Qi, martial arts, and traditional Japanese body techniques rooted in martial arts. By integrating this knowledge and experience, I support clients through treatments and guidance to help them achieve a natural and optimal state of physical and mental well-being.

Craniosacral Therapy
"It releases tension from deep within the body, allowing the head, spine, and pelvis to regain proper function. This enhances your body’s natural healing abilities and restores energy for the day ahead."
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive bodywork technique that focuses on the craniosacral system, which includes the bones of the skull, spinal column, sacrum, and the surrounding soft tissues. By using light touch, practitioners aim to release tension, improve the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, and support the body's natural healing processes.
CST is believed to promote overall well-being by addressing imbalances and enhancing the functioning of the central nervous system. It may help with:
-
Reducing stress and tension
-
Alleviating chronic pain, including migraines and neck or back discomfort
-
Improving sleep quality
-
Enhancing emotional resilience and relieving anxiety
-
Supporting recovery from trauma or injury
The therapy is often praised for its relaxing effects and its ability to restore harmony in both the body and mind. While evidence for its efficacy varies, many individuals report positive experiences and lasting improvements in their overall health.
